Wool Sourcing

All our wool comes from farms in Australia that are RWS certified. This means that inhumane practices like mulesing are strictly prohibited, and the following principles are adhered to:

  • Protect animal welfare
  • Preserve land health
  • Uphold social welfare

The entire process from farm to textile production is closely audited to ensure the RWS standard is met at each step.

Textile Production

The wool is processed into a soft jersey-knit fabric at a state-of-the-art facility outside Melbourne that prioritizes sustainable products and practices.

  • The textile plant is OEKO-TEX® 100 certified, which means they do not use any chemicals that are harful to our bodies or the environment
  • The plant captures 85% of the water used during production and either reuses it internally or recycles it for use in industrial applications, parklands, and agriculture
  • An on-site 464kw solar grid produces up to 40% of the plant's daily energy demand

Garment Making

We are proud that our merino polos are made in Canada. Skilled seamsters earning fair wages artfully stitch together each polo at a small, family-owned garment manufacturer in Vancouver, BC. Tags and labels are also Canadian made. And our Natty sparrow logo is carefully embroidered at a local shop in Cranbrook, BC.
